Good accommodation is important for many aspects of healthy living and well being and this is what has been lacking in Buloba Primary Teachers’ College (PTC). The dormitories that exist in Buloba were built in 1930 and most buildings clearly show that they outlived their usefulness and it’s against this background that Bishop Luwalira through the Appeal Fund decided to put in place a modern spacious girls’ dormitory that accommodates 28 students.
The new facility has a modern indoor birth room, connected to electricity, a well designed ceiling, a beautiful looking shade and a verandah etc. Many developments have already been registered including the construction of an incinerator at the girls’ wing, bathrooms, College and Chaplain’s kitchen, Chaplain’s house, metallic beds purchased, water tanks installed, new toilet built, the security room at the college entry and a lecture block renovated.
The construction team officially handed over the dormitory to the Bishop on 22nd May 2017 before the school administrators, some Board members and the Chairman Appeal Fund Committee Owek. Nelson Kawalya. The Bishop appreciated the construction team for the job well done and urged the school administrators to ensure good use of the facility so that it benefits the generation to come. He thanked each and every body who worked tirelessly to see this come to reality especially the Christians who donated most of the financial and material resources.
