Christian Women Fellowship (CWF) is a faith based association which brings together all Christian Women in the Diocese with a purpose of uniting them into a fellowship where they are empowered with biblical teachings, values and principles of the Anglican Faith so as to discover their potential and role in serving God. It is a forum where all Christian women are nurtured with skills, knowledge and resources of spiritual nourishment and secure livelihood for the physical, mental, spiritual and healthy development of women, children, youth and the family.
Every year the fellowship celebrates Mariam Magdalene and this year’s event has been celebrated at St. Paul’s Cathedral Namirembe gardens on 21st July 2017 under the Diocesan theme of the year “ Come now, let us the settle the matter,” says the Lord. The Retired Bishop of Mukono Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Eria Paul Luzinda represented Bishop Luwalira who is a way on official leave.
The preacher of the day Mrs. Obbo delivered a powerful message which challenged CWF members to be women of quality and not quantity. The colorful celebrations were presided over Mr. Bosco Nuwagaba who is the Anglican relationship manager Equity Bank. He represented Mr. Anthony Kituuka, the Executive Director Equity Bank Uganda Limited who was unable to make it. In his remarks, he advised the Christian women on how they can raise the money for the completion of CWF Hostel Project.
The CWF Chairman Mrs. Jane Male appreciated the Christian women for supporting the fellowship in all its programs. She noted the tremendous progress reached as far as evangelism and mission is concerned. She updated on the progress of the hostel project and urged the women to continue praying for the work and supporting its realization. The colorful celebrations were attended by the Cathedral Dean, Diocesan Secretary, Nateete and Kazo Archdeacons, heads of fellowships and Lay Readers etc.
