Wampeewo Ntakke Secondary School
Wampeewo Ntakke Secondary School is a Church of Uganda Anglican founded school in Gayaza Archdeaconry under the supervision of Namirembe Diocese. The school has a total population of 1444 students and it has registered steady development in form infrastructural development, academic performance, student enrollment, strength in the teaching and non teaching staff etc.
According to the head teacher, the school has a well furnished computer laboratory on the new block which also houses three class rooms, the foundation has been laid for other three class rooms and a self-contained staff room, architectural drawings for the storied building have already been presented to the district for approval. New subjects have also been introduced including technical drawings, foods and nutrition for skills development among the students.
Bishop Luwalira has paid a pastoral visit to the school where he presided over the confirmation service of 85 students into God’s Church. When addressing the school community, Bishop Luwalira thanked the administration for the good leadership that has seen the school this far. He thanked the Board of Governors, PTA, students and the church for the continued support to the school. He urged the confirmed to be faithful servants of Christ and always reflect on the vows they made with God. The Bishop prayed and blessed the P.7 candidates from Wampeewo Ntakke C.O.U Primary school, S.4 and S.6 Students from Wampeewo Ntakke secondary school so that they may succeed in their coming final exams. He prayed for good health, sound minds, discipline and faithfulness on the side of the students. After the service, the Bishop visited the school computer laboratory and the new building under construction. The colorful function was attended by head teachers from different schools, parents, students, teachers, board and PTA members, pupils of Wampeewo Ntakke Church of Uganda Primary School, clergy and Ray Readers.
